Taking longer breaks at work then your employer allows you to. This is probably the one you'll hear the term refer to the most.

Supervisor: He also helped two customers while he was on his way to his break. We should thank him for taking that time from his break rather then berate him for something as insignificant as two minutes.
Manager: That's still time theft. Bobby makes $7 an hour, that’s twenty-three point three cents a minute. Two minutes rounded up means he cost us forty-seven cents! If he did that every day a week for a year, assuming five days a week, that would cost us about one-hundred-twenty-one dollars over the course of a year!
Supervisor: Perhaps but isn’t that worth the price of a happy employee opposed to a stressed out employee? In the end, the happy employee will perform better. Besides, he always gets his work done and often gets quite a bit more accomplished. Maybe we should be happy for that instead of being picky. If we were talking him extending fifteen-minute breaks to thirty minutes and lunches to forty-five minutes then maybe.

No one likes to be around one of these people. They feel like they are not able to say anything funny without it being stolen. A common name for a joke theft is Tyler Allen. They have a unique way of stealing your jokes. They will listen closely to the joke you say in front of your guy friends. They will then will announce it in front of a large group of guys and girls exactly word for word as you said it. Everyone will laugh and he will take full credit for it. This will make him feel like all the girls are interested in him. He will then jokingly say, "Tyler Allen ladies and gentlemen, I'll be here all night." This is to try to get a few more chuckles out of everyone. Also, they are not only limited to talking, a joke theft does his work through any form of communication. Anyone who is a joke theft shall be called a “Tyler”.
There was a joke theft in this class and the teacher brought in freeze pops. Since the wrappers are really long, the joke theft's friend said to him, "Hey look, it's a Ron Jeremy size condom." The Tyler laughed hysterically. He then took a picture of the empty wrapper on Snap Chat, used the exact same caption, and added the picture to his Snap Story without giving any credit.

When your employer/boss/manager breaks the law by not paying you all you're entitled to get. Not paying overtime, not paying minimum wage, deducting money from your paycheck, not reimbursing you for expenses, not paying you on time, paying "under the table", misclassifying you as an independent contractor, etc.
Lisa server broke a couple of bottles when she tripped on the way to the customer's table. At the end of the week, Lisa noticed that her manager deducted the cost of the bottles from her paycheck and remembered about wage theft.
