economy, budget, or "back-alley" accupuncture; utilizes corkboard tacks as opposed to traditional "pins" to perform the ancient eastern medical art. Most often practiced in meth clinics and elementary school classrooms. (Not advised without updated tetanus shots.)

Little Bobby's friends thought they were playing a prank when they allowed him to sit on the collection of thumbtacks they placed on his chair, unaware of the Zen-like soothing effects he was bound to receive from the effects of tackupuncture therapy.

Da randomly-administered "surgical treatment" dat da community bulletin board down at da town hall receives when everyone posts notices at various spots on its surface.

Unless either wind is an issue or a poster-sheet is unusually thick, large, heavy, etc., one should use only one or two pushpins to affix a notice to a bulletin board, in order to extend its useful life by reducing tackupuncture.

"Sharp 'n' pointed" medical treatment intended to "needle" you into performing better on da ol' athletic field.

There's only so much dat trackupuncture can do to improve stamina and performance --- if eventually it merely comes down to a classic case of "da ol' gray mare's just not being what she used to be", it may be time to resign yourself to retirement and hang up da running-shoes!
