Swung out of the strikezone and still hit a homer

Keeping with baseball metaphors it is to go after someone far more attractive than oneselves and manage to have sex with them.
Michael: You went after Mackenzie? That's pretty bold she's like a 10!
Sanders: Yeah she is, we hooked up though.
Michael: Oh shit you swung out of the strikezone and still hit a homer.

Strikation

When you're forced to put your etsy store in Vacation Mode because Canada post is on Strike and you live in the dreaded "rural" area for shipping companies. It's a "Strikation" but it's neither a strike or a vacation.
Shopper- hey, i see you're on vacation!? I was just about to buy some cool items from you!

Me- Yeah, sorry. I'm not on vacation. Canada Post is on strike, and the other shipping companies hate us rural dwellers. So I'm forced into strikation.
