A party, much like a keger, but instead of beer you drink and sell a mixture of alcohol and various juices. Every weekend night in Seattle. Mostly attended and thrown by high school age students. $5 a cup.

A spoonie is someone living with a chronic illness.
It mostly refers to physical chronic illnesses, though it has been known to be a helpful term for those with chronic mental illness as well.

It originates from Christine Miserandino's Spoon Theory story, in which she explains what it's like to live with chronic illness to a friend, and uses a handful of spoons to demonstrate.
For example, daily activities that healthy people tend not to think about take tolls on people with chronic illness. You start the day with a certain number of spoons, and play your day around not running out. Socializing might cost spoons, using the stairs might cost spoons, lifting things might cost spoons, etc.
Skylar: It's a low spoons day today, I don't think I'll go out.
Fallon: You're a spoonie? I didn't know. Well, I hope you feel better tomorrow. Can I do anything for you?

A person living with chronic illness, that identifies with Christine Miserandino's Spoon Theory.
Spoonies are people that live with chronic illness; theoretically measuring personal daily abilities much as one would measure the proper amount of spoons needed for an event or occasion... sometimes having an abundance, other times coming up short.

A word used to describe a person with a chronic illness, which originated with the spoon theory that helps explain what it's like to have a chronic illness to people who are in good health.

It is very popular amongst people who suffer from P.O.T.S.; Post Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, which is a form of dysautonomia characterized by many symptoms which includes fainting, extreme fatigue, low bp, fast heartrate, hypotension headaches, low blood volume, exercise intolerance and more. It is chronic and has no known cure although large amounts of salt in the diet, drinking constant fluids, compression stockings, and medications have been known to help with some symptoms.
My favorite spoonie items are compression stockings, shower chairs, and salt tabs :)

A mixture of several kinds of alcohol, fruit juice, and cut up peices of fruit, that has formented over night so the fruit is more potent than the juice itselve. Spodie is usualy made in coolers, fishtanks, bathtubs, or brand new garbage cans. 2 parts liquer. 1 part (any)fruit, 1 part fruit juice. Do not refrigerate for at least 12 hours, then chill to serve. If made right you cannot taste the booze unless you eat the fruit.
(Ian) Did you bring the everclear for the spodie?
(Lisa) Yah, and I got some Jack & Gin to throw into the mix.
We are going to moose's house to get cruncked up on some spodie.
