soorj

Very strong Armenian coffee, and an aquired taste. Soorj is served in a long-handled coffee pot (soorjaman), and poured into tiny cups with saucers. Because of it's strength, it is slowly consumed over a period of time. There is usually some 'sludge' left over after finishing a cup.
We were about to leave, but our parents decided to drink some soorj, so we stayed for another hour.
