when you are in love with someone and you suddenly fall for someone else. You are then put into a situation where you are like in love with two persons at the same time and then, that second person whom you loved receives more of your affection until none is left for the first person whom you loved.
He was infatuated with Hera but one day he fell for Olivia while he still loves Hera. Days of confusion passed, it was for Hera or Olivia until he felt in his heart that he loves Olivia and he absolutely forgot about Hera. It is considered as secondivism.
