The act of insuating that people the likes of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X, both civil rights activists, as well as organizations such as the NAACP, are racist.

The irony of this argument is that it is usually applied by those already harboring racial prejudice, as the subjects in question were a product of, and necessitated by, racial injustice and motivations to correct it themselves.

This may yield the argument that it is injustice that pro-White organizations cannot coexist, but there's a problem with this argument for three reasons:

1. Europeans/Caucasians have never been historically disadvantaged by racism; the irony is that America itself was founded by the extermination and subjugation of other races.

2. As a result of #1, the dominant race of America was European/Caucasion, leaving other races a minority factor and this has not considerably changed in today's day and age in spite of its more multicultural population.

3. Pro-White organizations have a notoriety for asserting the ideology of White supremacy. White Nationalist organizations that have surfaced after the steady decline of the KKK are contended to be a sanitized face for White supremacy, since violent demonstrations of force were no longer acceptable.

This is usually applied by those identifying with the political far right, who are historically anti-civil rights, as the KKK themselves were far right. It should also be noted that moderate conservative Abraham Lincoln caught a lot of flack for his civil rights views by his own party.
reverse racism in action:

Person 1: Isn't it racist that the blacks have the BET channel, i.e. Black Entertainment Channel?
What if white people had a "White Entertainment Channel." Blacks would be screaming about it! Let's make this fair! If we're going to pick and choose, then we need to look at both sides of the fence!

Person 2: Stop bitching. Mostly everything else on tv is targeted towards white people.

Reverse racism is a term used to try and explain that some people are using the term "racism" itself in a racist manner by calling someone racist based on their skin colour.
"Only (enter race here) people can be racist."
The person saying this is guilty of the term 'reverse racism' as they themselves are actually being the racists by blanketing a whole race as being racist.

Technically, it is a reaction to racism towards non-Caucasian people. It includes economic and political benefits in effort to compensate for past and ongoing social oppression experienced by non-Caucasians.

Such oppression ranges from marginalization to physical abuse to childhood emotional scarring to the gym teacher shouting "DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH" to every Chinese kid he sees. But none of these examples are anywhere near as catastrophic when compared to a reactionary anti-white joke told by a black standup comedian. From this reasoning emerges the term "reverse racism".

With respect to the term itself, "reverse racism" implies that there is backwards logic behind racism against Caucasians, and that it is somehow more deserving of disapproval than just regular racism.

Furthermore, "racism" and "reverse racism" can be interpreted as binary oppositions, where "racism" is the (socially conditioned to be) acceptable state, while "reverse racism" is the unacceptable counterpart.

Reverse racism can also be interpreted as a defense mechanism for "white man's guilt".
"Anyone who points out our race problems is a reverse racist." - the GOP

"Reverse racism hurts my feelings." - racist

It isn't on the site yet.

It will read this way:

Reverse Racism

1) The act of displaying racist styled behaviors against the majority group, the group commonly known for its historical systematic racism (e.g. blacks flipping the script on whites in America), but doing so in the name of righting the wrongs of racism. Affirmative action is not a form of reverse racism unless stronger majority candidates were passed for weaker minority candidates BECAUSE of skin color. It is a systematic decision. That is reverse racism.

2) Preferential treatment for or giving unwarranted benefit of the doubt to a minority group or person because of illogical reasons stemming from past systematic racism (misplaced fear, white-guilt, trying too hard to appear non-racist, etc).

3) Giving preference to one person over another simply because of their being a part of a minority race which has been under-privileged in the past.
-Imagine a white kid and black kid getting in a fight in school. Now let's say the black kid started it. The principle will not punish the white kid BECAUSE he didn't start it but might commit reverse racism by subsequently not punishing the black kid as he should (because he started it) BECAUSE he doesn't want the headache or possible backlash of suspending a black child.
-"There is a right and wrong way to battle racism, and reverse racism is the unreasonable and unethical way."

Racism against groups that have higher average levels of intelligence then the group they are being discriminated against by. Is worse than normal racism because capable people (a limited resource) are being misused, and because people with lower IQ's have a harder time learning why and how to be objective... a task which is hard enough to begin with.
A 105 IQ Indian science professor frequently straw mans arguments (that he doesn't understand) of high IQ Caucasian students in his class or calls them lazy (Because they ace exams with less study time) and tries to punish their learning methods instead of lack of functional knowledge. This is reverse racism. A university has a quota system requiring them to admit blacks over whites with higher grades and IQ scores. etc

A term coined by people of an ethnic or cultural majority to demonstrate the fact that they don't understand the adversity that minorities truly face on a daily basis.
Billy cried "reverse racism" when the black boy called him a 'cracker' since it was not acceptable for Billy to call the boy 'nigger'. It's hard to understand how Billy was offended since no ancestor of his had even been called a 'cracker' as he was savagely whipped by a black man who owned him.
