There's no way Sarah could avoid lying around and stuffing her face with fatty food during the summer, but she's making a school year's resolution to eat better and exercise.

During first week of the New Year, most people are enthusiastic about their resolutions. After this week, however, their zeal begins to dwindle, and soon they've forgotten all about their resolution. Thus instead of a New Year's resolution, it's a New Week's resolution, seeing as it only lasts a week.

New Years Resolutions are kind of like when you click the 'I read the terms and conditions'. You know you'll feel semi-guilty by clicking the button even if you didn't actually read so you say "I'll read them next time." You do that with New Years Resolutions. "I promise not to ever gossip again...next year. Did you hear what Ross did with Rachel? BRUH."
