An American Southern Rock band. Lynyrd Skynyrd were a very famous band that rose to the top of recognition and were famous for there hit single "Free Bird". As unfortunate as it could get, several members, including lead vocalist and primary songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, died in a tragic plane crash in 1977. The band had basically ended after that event. Many members started up alternate bands such as the Rossington-Collins Band, and the Allen Collins Band, but it had never been the same for any of the members. The band performed live at 2008 for one last time.

A less known racist term usually directed towards simple white folk, most commonly used by the upper middle class white community.
Guy 1: Yo look at that Lynyrd Skynyrd eating Jack in The Box and smoking at the same time.
Guy 2: Dude don't call him that, that's kinda messed up

Best band EVER. So much better with Johnny on vocals, but RIP Ronnie and the rest :(
Way too overlooked. *is currently trying to convert friends to actual GOOD music*
Totally timeless
