Greatest Band that has ever lived...with Robert Plant's vocals, and Jimmy Page's guitar skills, they defined the music known as rock!
"Joe, so I finally got the Led Zeppelin box set!"

"Whose that Erich?"

The greatest band to ever walk the Earth.
I once told someone (this is true) "It is said that when God created Earth He rested on the 7th day. Well, the truth to that is on the 7th day, God created Led Zeppelin, on the 8th day, He rested."

Also, i read somewhere that when Zeppelin released Led Zeppelin I, the planets aligned and the world was at peace. When they broke up in 1980, things fell apart. Now, there are wars, the economy is crashing, things are not as they used to be.

With Jimmy Page's amazing guitar work inside the studio and on stage, with Plant's amazing vocal range, with Bonzo's insane drumming, and with John Paul Jones's ability to play just about every instrument out there, They made a supergroup so super, they will be talked about for centuries to come.
May Bonzo rest in peace.
:)
Could you think of a more amazing guitar solo than those of Heartbreaker, Stairway, or Achilles Last Stand?

Plus, you gotta love Jimmy's acoustic work.
Led Zeppelin will always be known as #1.

A band that some people like to diss. So I'm a fanboy? Even though I know all of there discography and album lengths? And can you stop with all this "Led-Zeppelin stole other peoples songs" crap? It's getting old. And think up more things than "over-rated", you lousy trolls.
Trolls:"Oh my god, Led-Zeppelin is so over-rated!"

Me:"How so?"

Trolls:"People only know songs like stairway and Kashmir."

Me:"*Sigh*, No, they don't. you're just denying the simple fact that a lot of people know a lot more than those songs"

Trolls:"No, I'm not."

Me:"*chooses to be the bigger man and walks away*"

One of the most influential bands. Made of John Paul Jones, John Henry Bonham, James Patrick Page, and Robert Plant, these four musicians formed in 1968 as the New Yardbirds, but were renamed Led Zeppelin based of a joke made by Relf and Keith Moon. The band dominated the USA, and quickly dominated England, displaced the Beatles on the Top Albums, and created its own universe.

Simply put: They're so effing good that you really can't put them in a category.....it's better that way.

If compared to other musicians of today, the person who compared them with some other pop artist or "rock" artist (ex: People think Daughtry is rock...it isn't) will be attacked and not be charged.
Person 1: Dude, you should totally listen to the Jonas Bros. They're WAY better than Led Zeppelin.

Person 2: What did you say? You think that three good-looking preps who strum chords about some cheesy
episodes of a High School Musical story are actually BETTER THAN LED ZEPPELIN?

Person 1: Well-

Person 2: Answer carefully...your life depends on it.

Person 1: Yes?

(Person 2 commences mauling and amputation of person 1)

Person 2: OMG NO AUGH IM SORRY HELP!

Police: What's going on here?!

Person 2: He said today's music was better than Led Zeppelin

(Police ponders for a bit)

Police: Oh ok, go on ahead.

(Recommence the beating)

The ZEP took flight in 1968 and crashed landed, with the death of their drummer--Bonzo--in 1981. An awesome array of British musicians nonetheless: Page the mystical riff wizzard, Jones providing devestating bass runs, Plant writing bluesy songs with a twinge of Celtic folklore, and Bonzo's fierce drumming. As their name suggests, Zep could go heavy with raunchy songs like 'Dazed and Confused' or light with pensive songs like 'Tangerine.' Their catalog is impressive and the songs have stood the test of time
When the Led Zeppelin took off they took no quarter.

Apparently, 4 gods came down from the holy mountain and decided to play some music. They crushed every other band around and still own any band that has come along since. No other band has come close to the songwriting skill and genius of the mighty Zep (maybe Floyd).
I watched the Led Zeppelin DVD last night, it toasted my groonies.
