A rock band from the 1970s. Fanboys think that listening to Led Zeppelin makes them special by setting them apart from their peers, who mostly listen to mainstream rap and pop. However, in their day, Zeppelin were rather mainstream.
It is not a big deal that you listen to Led Zeppelin. Everyone knows who they are.

1) A British rock band active from 1968-1980
2) A textbook case of public brainwashing
Stoned dork: "Dude, Zeppelin rules. Dude, Zeppelin rules. Dude, Zeppelin rules"

Normal person: "Hey that guy seems to really like Led Zeppelin. I'm impressed. They must be really something"

Stone dork 2: "Dude, Zeppelin rules. Dude, Zeppelin rules. Dude, Zeppelin rules"

Normal person 2 :"Oh wow, more people like this band Led Zeppelin. If these guys are so popular, they just have to be awesome. I've never actually heard any Led Zeppelin songs, but you guys are right, they *DO* rule."

Normal person 3: " More people think Led Zeppelin are awesome? Hey count me in, I don't want to be left out! I'm in! I'm a Led head! Best band ever! Where can I get a T shirt?"

English group formed in late 1968. The singer was a woman, the drummer a Neanderthal, the bass player a polite public school type and the guitarist a diminuitive figure with a penchant for plagiarism. They made a very succesful career by copying Jeff Beck, Robert Johnson and The Beatles Helter Skelter and attract Homer Simpson persona types as fans.
"Whoa, dude, Led Zeppelin are like, cosmic, man"

A band so boring and bland it can make you overrate it...oh nevermind. An overrated boring band that supposedly made heavy metal by making it mainstream after bands like Steppenwolf and Black Sabbath already made heavy metal.Experimented with alot of sounds but still manage to suck at that.Led Zeppelin fans are the worst kind of fan and none of their lyrics are special, well, maybe for the "Hey hey momma" in Black Dog but I'm sure they have deeper lyrics that are related to sex.
Led Zeppelin is a rock band from the 70's that quit in the 80's when they realized that after thiers fans would stop smoking pot they would have started listening to better music.

One of the most overrated bands of the 60s. Don't get me wrong, they're a very good band, but they're often given more credit than they're deserving of, mostly by their fucking idiotic fans/fanboys who don't have a clue what they're talking about

First off, they weren't too terribly original, at least half of their riffs, chord progressions, and lyrics were lifted from old blues songs.

Second off, they made have been great at their instruments, but there are better, these idiotic fanboys make it seem like they're the best at their instruments. First off, Hendrix, Clapton and Gilmour are better guitarists than Page, and I could name at least 50 people who were better lyricists. Let's face it, Page wrote AVERAGE lyrics, it wasn't his thing..they're not bad, they're just not great, and a lot of space is filled by BABAYBABBAYBABYBABYBABYBABABY etc. Now, onto bass, John Entwistle was a much more talented bassist than JPJ, and Paul Mccartney, while he may not have been better is a more more creative and innovative bass player. Now onto drumming, while Bonham is a great drummer, I'd have to say Keith Moon is much better. And as for singing, I'd take Roger Daltrey's rock n roll voice to Plant's girly whining/wailing any day.

I don't really have a problem so much with Zeppelin, but I have a problem with their idiotic fans who claim they're the best thing since sliced bread. They're a GOOD band, and nothing more..they've got some good music, I'm not trying to argue that they don't but they're just not the most creative, or overall best band. They're not near the most influential either, so don't pull that bullshit either. The Beatles were much more influential and important to popular music than Zeppelin ever could dream of being, and Lennon/McCartney and Harrison were MUCH better songwriters than Page, not to mention better vocalists than Plant.

Not only that, but they're a gateway band, for teenagers to listen to, in order to be cool or different. And trust me, it doesn't work

So in summary, Led Zeppelin is a good band, but they're just overrated by their idiotic fanboys who don't know what the fuck they're talking about
Led Zeppelin Fanboy: OMG LED ZEP IS DA BEST AND MOST INFLUENTIAL BAND EVER OMG THEY ROX SO MUCH
Normal person: Do you even have any idea what you're talking about? You're an idiot
