A mock religion, created to express worship of the anime character Haruhi Suzumiya, of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu fame.
In the series, it is revealed to main protagonist Kyon (a schoolmate of Haruhi's) that Haruhi is essentially God, but is as of yet unaware of her powers. She has the ability to change things in the world that she wishes were different; only her innate common sense, as well as Kyon's constant bickering with her, serve to keep her wild fantasies in check.

1) Fujioka Haruhi is one of the main characters of the anime series Ouran High School Host Club that is mistaken for a boy by the school's well... host club and is forced to join them because she broke an extremely expensive vase. She didn't mind that her gender was mistaken though, it's probably because her father is a transvestite.
2) Suzumiya Haruhi is the main character of the anime series The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. She is a beautiful, high school girl that is unusually weird and unpopular. That is because she will only accept friends that are espers, ghosts, and aliens. Haruhi also starts a club at her school called the S.O.S. Brigade that has 4 other members.

1. n. & adj. Haruhi can be described as a state of being, in which you feel as if you're just one in a million. Although you may feel as if you are an individual/one of a kind, you are incorrect. Their maybe thousands of other people that have your personality, look like you, dress like you, have the same friends like you, have the same secrets as you, have the same dreams and wishes as you. Haruhi is a state in which you feel that you're alone in a world that is dull and boring and repetitive. This state can only be cured by overloading your life with extreme happiness and being random and eccentric so that hopefully you'll truly be "one of a kind". Amazing things happen all the time, you just have to find it.

Haruhi can be used to describe yourself in place of eccentric, outlandish etc. You know you're haruhi when you're having fun doing epic shit. You can be like haruhi when you attempt to look for ways to make you're life more fun and exciting. You can even use haruhi to describe yourself when something out of the ordinary happens.

Based off the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya where the character Haruhi is God living life in high school. She can alter reality and create dead space without even knowing it.
The Haruhi of the religion is often subjected to uncannily good luck, strange occurrences, and anything of the sort. They are subjected to superiority complexes although they are unknowing of their powers.
The world can alter to their beliefs.
Disciples are the ones in the know of the Haruhi's real powers and often keep reality stable by keeping the Haruhi steady.
The Haruhi usually attracts non-humans as her disciples.

For example, in Haruhiism if the Haruhi believes in ESPers and Time Travelers, then they will exist, although maybe not openly. If The Haruhi thinks that a cat can talk, then the cat WILL talk.

A character in the anime show "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya." She is an energetic person who has a sense that everything revolves around her. Coincidentally, she is the unquestioned controller of the universe. Although it is unknown to her, her mood can outbreak the destruction of the world.
