A female who is friends with a male. This is used in contrast to girlfriend. A galfriend is just a friend who happens to be a girl; a girlfriend is someone you are dating.

Galfriend

Not to be confused with the word girlfriend.

A term/word for a guy's female best friend. Shes for the most part is a platonic friend, and will odds are not get romantically involved with the guy.

A galfriend is someone seen as a sister, or a good friend, an ex who he wont get back with. Its that girl, the guy says there too much alike or too close to ever get married.

Tim: Mimi not my girlfriend. Mimi's a girl, and shes a friend but she's not my girlfriend.
Ashley: so she a galfriend....

Goalfriend 

A person who helps, motivates, supports and pushes you to move towards your personal and business goals with zeal.

Amanda has been a real Goalfriend to me; she has helped me find out who Pookie was messing with on IG by signing up as a fake hair page of several of his IG crushes!

The Model Mom has been a real Goalfriend to me, she has helped me write out my SWOT analysis for my business and has checked in to make sure I am moving forward in my business and personal goals!

Absolutely having nothing to do with someone's sexual orientation, since anyone can be a gayfriend, it is:

Someone who a girl/guy has been friends with so long, that the tiniest thought of ever being in a relationship with that person no longer crosses their mind. Can be a person who is "the guy" or "the girl" that's always there for someone, helps them through situations, or is there for them when no one else will, but is now so far into the "friend zone" that they will never have a chance with this other person. Usually,

1) Man, Joe is really into Julia, but he's so deep into the friend zone that now he's Julia's gayfriend.

2) Dude, I love Andrea, but not like that, we grew up together, she's totally my gayfriend.

3) I think Jane and I would be great together, but she's always dating assholes, i'm pretty sure i'm just her gayfriend now.
