Freaks and Geeks 

Critically-acclaimed and much-beloved teen dramedy that aired for less than one season. Created by Paul Feig and Judd Apatow, F&G deconstructed the prevalent myth among adolescents (and adults) that a person has to be pretty and popular to be okay. Freaks and Geeks focused on the not-so-pretty aspects the teenage years—specifically the awkwardness of physically changing and socially trying to fit in, the ups and downs of real-world relationships, and the utterly demoralizing experience that high school can be for those who are not cheerleaders or jocks. Feig and Apatow were geeks when they attended high school in the early 1980s and sought to be as truthful to their experience as possible in Freaks and Geeks--through the wry humor that has become Apatow's trademark.

Freaks and Geeks 

In the tradition of the show a freak is a person associated with bad scholastic habits, drug use, sex, rock and roll, and the other fun things in life... while maintaining the fact that they have no future.

A geek is a person with excellent scholastic habits, drug free, D+D playing, and virtually invisible to the opposite sex because they're just too nerdy to be popular. These are the successful people of the future.

The geeks watched a porno tape given to them by a freak because they thought it would teach them about women... that's the difference between freaks and geeks.

If we lived in a perfect world, Freaks and Geeks would have taken the place of Friends and run for however many million seasons Friends did, since Freaks and geeks was a far superior show. At the same time, Friends would never exist or only be shown to inmates in prison as punishment.
