This is an Italian word which has two definitions:
1) eng.= fennel /ger.=Fenchel /ital.=finoccio
2) finoccio is also used as a slang word for poof

Example for the slang word:
Mario Salami: I love men!
Somebody: Your are a god damned Finoccio!

finocio 

dorogatory Italian slang term for a homosexual often shortened to finoc. Has been heard in a few Sopranos episodes. Basically pronounced like the boy puppet Pinochio but with an "F" instead.

"See that guy over there?" "He's a f*cking finoc!"
