I would consider myself to be a tomboy femme -- although i enjoy playing sports or video games, I also enjoy shopping and watching chickflicks as well. And I sometimes wear high heels and skirts from time to time.

Sometimes the situation will turn dangerous or even deadly, depending on the level of manipulation she has over the victim. Band formed in 1980. THEY ARE NOT DEAD. A lot of people think the band collapsed, but alas, that hasn't happened. The drummer plays a snare, and it's the only percussion in a lot of the songs. I love em so much!

Not to be mistaken with the typical femme, the "hard femme" describes herself as "queer", is political, looks more feminine than masculine, and if prompted, can kick some serious ass. She doesn't need to "wear the pants" in a relationship- the hard femme rules with a dress. She not only despises the gender binary, she works to dismantle it.

The semantic counterpart of a soft butch - more femme than an androgyne, but less femme than a femme. IOW soft butch is to femme lite, as butch is to femme.
A femme lite might also be described as a boyish-looking woman - in face, figure, and/or style - but with the emphasis on the woman. Not a tomboy... at least not anymore. Cute; handsome; capable.

On TV or stage, self-described "chapstick lesbian" Ellen DeGeneres is a femme lite. But on the street she sometimes appears more of a tomboy, androgynous, or soft butch - i.e., somewhat less femme.
