"You didn't go see the movie just because everyone else said you'd like it? You're such a dissentophile!"

Get the dissentophile mug.
To be sexually aroused by controversy and arguments. A trait of internet users who spend a lot of time arguing and get off on the conflict. It can involve simply following controversial stories, then grow into prowling through the comments section. Their subset depends on the kind of content they post. A keyboard warrior will self-righteously give their own honest opinion, knowing that it will likely turn into an argument, and proudly die on their hill. An internet troll will say whatever they think will piss off the most people, even if that is not their view, though they are usually racist, sexist, and lacking empathy in real life.
Guy 1: "Last night, I saw this new article about abortion, and I couldn't resist. I dove right into those comments."
Guy 2: "You are such a dissentophile. Seriously, it's not healthy."
Guy 1: "Relax, I'm not a troll. I just wanted to see what people were saying."
