diaspora voting

A political vote in the Eurovision Song Contest. When immigrants vote for their country of origin because they want to support their country regardless of the quality of the song.
Turkey's high score in 2007 was mainly due to diaspora voting in France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

diasporoid

A member of a religious, ethnic, racial, or national group that has migrated to a different country, usually the West, or a child of immigrants. They proceed to sellout their cultural and religious values, are mentally colonized by the host culture, and back project their new values on their original homeland. Often touted by white liberals as token minorities. Not all immigrants are diasporoids, only the obnoxious ones.
I’m tired of these brown diasporoids completely selling out and espousing ideals completely antithetical to the people they claim to represent.

diaspora

A new social network content like facebook, created by 4 NY university students. But unlike facebook, it's the privacy aware, personally controlled, do-it-all, open source social network. The service starts in September, 2010.
A: Have you heard about new social network called diaspora?
B: Yeah, I might quit facebook and join that instead.
