This word was made popular by many Myspace bands. Brootal is another way of spelling Brutal, but the mis-spelling makes you cool. You can hype your image when using it by:

* TYPING IT IN ALL UPPERCASE
* Spelling it with two zeros: br00tal
* If your name starts with B, brootal should follow.

2.It's another way to say cool, awesome, hardcore.

A fashioncore/scenecore way of saying the word "brutal", usually portraying the opinion of how heavy a song from the genres deathcore or hardcore are.

Anyone who uses this word in this form in all seriousness are almost always considered douchebags in today's form of society.

When your bro (i.e. friend, roommate, etc.) insist on totalitarian rule and has become an oppressive dick in attempt to control your everyday life.

Brotalitarianism 

1. Similar to totalitarianism, brotalitarianism occurs when a (most often heterosexual) man's job, social life, and love life are taken over by his bro(s), a man (or men) who often has crazy or elaborate plans.

2. When a high school or college party is taken over by 'bros', a group of dumb jocks. Activities of a brotalitarianist party consist of smashing things, drunkenly hitting on virgins, and smashing things while drunkenly hitting on virgins.

The relationship of Barney Stinson and Ted Moseby (from the tv show How I Met Your Mother) is an example of brotalitarianism.
