Some non-native speakers use barefoot as a way to get to places. Most used by hispanic (unless im the only one). (A pie which means by foot)

For your car to wreck, forcing you to walk.

From spanish: "me quede a pie" which sort off means "i am now forced to go barefoot" (close definition, not literal.)

I used to love how close my old job was, i got there barefoot.
