The belief that one must heavily try to prove that a certain trait of his/her personality is true, even though it may be a charade. Founded by Avril Lavigne in 2002. Eminem uses Avrilism in a way that makes him look straight, by having female pornography actresses surrounding him in his music videos. It is just a scheme for him to hide his homosexuality.
