Y2K kids are a year genre, for example 90's kids or 80's kids, the Y2K kids grew up when technology was getting really advanced and cartoons were still good but, completely got ruined in the year 2005.
1. Eww, Y2K kids suck, they grew up in the stupid generation, us 90's kids are way better.
2. I can't stand the 10's us Y2K kids have way more self control than those stupid brats.

Dark Y2K is a recent style that is heavily inspired by both Emo, Visual Kei and Scene subcultures, however, unlike many other subcultures, the style is reliant on both music and image. The style got its name from the recent "Y2K fashion" that is increasing in popularity on TikTok. It's basically a more fashionable merge of Emo and Scene, to put it simply.

Style: Graphic shirts, button-up shirts underneath shirts, red or black leopard pants, skinny jeans, fishnets, goth boots, vans, shirts with skulls, chokers, straight hair with side partings (the back can be spiked), plaid skirts and pants with chains, pocket chains, striped t-shirts, pants with straps, studded belts usually dangling down to the hip, studded wristbands, shirts and jackets with patches, corsets, tutus, lots of jewellery sometimes featuring crucifixes, 2000s sunglasses, clothes featuring Sanrio characters, ties usually checkered or featuring skulls and Tripp pants. Clothes with both neon and dark colours juxtaposed together are also acceptable.

Music: The music is a combination of both emo rock, metal and crunkcore, however, recent music from artists such as Capoxxo and 100 Gecs who have a more modern sound of scenecore like music are also acceptable.

Beliefs: Anyone in this subculture has to be Pro-BLM, anti-racist, accepting of LGBT and anti-sexist. If not, then they aren't apart of it or even alternative in the first place.
Person: "Hey, I like your style, are you emo?"
Person 2: "Kind of, but the style name is Dark y2k!"
Person: "What's that?"
Person 2: "Look at it on the urban dictionary!"

A social phenomenon that occurs when experts work diligently to avert a crisis, only for the general public to deem the potential crisis a hoax should the contingency efforts be successful. Named after the aversion of the Y2K bug, which has been largely deemed a hoax over the past couple of decades because it never actually occurred thanks to programmers behind the scenes preparing the new millennium of technology for the 21st century.
"Hey remember that rumor the bridge would collapse? I can't believe they actually tried to scare us like that"
"The bridge legitimately was at risk of collapsing, but construction teams examined the issue right away and made necessary repairs to avoid the disaster"
"Woah, really?"
