We Have to Make the Operating Model Work

A phrase often said by a person, usually a person in a management role, who requires specific tasks to be completed but does not have the knowledge or skill set to complete the task his or herself.
A head chef was hired despite having no cooking experience and told me to cook a new chicken platter. When I asked at what temperature should I cook the chicken, the chef replied "We Have to Make the Operating Model Work."

I was given a task to build a gingerbread house with only a dirty q-tip and a used condom. When I asked my manager in what fucked up world this makes any sense, he replied "We Have to Make the Operating Model Work."
The intense, irritable state of mind one enters while occupied with a task, usually leading to an unpleasant reaction when interrupted.
Honey, darling, light of my life, I can't talk about the stupid birthday party you're throwing for me, I'm currently in workmode.

Getting work done while sitting comfortably in underwear and socks.
Person 1: (Talking over the phone or internet) "How's it goin' man?!"
Person 2: "Doin' great man. Getting some work done in workmode!"
Person 1: "Ohh sweet deal! Keeping your feet warm though right?"
Person 2: "Of course man! That's what the socks are for!"

Collective 600 pound gorilla

A group of people that rolls 600 pounds deep, which is really no different than if one person acted like the 600 pound gorilla all by themself, it's just bullying spread around a group to fuck with somebody. Just like each person has an asshole, and to some degree is an asshole, a collective 600 pound gorilla has a collective asshole so that no one person has to take responsibility for being the asshole or the one who said this or that.
The collective 600 pound gorilla was punching its chest, showing who the alphas were.
