Quirky two-piece band of pasty-pale individuals obsessed with the colors red and white. Low-Fi.

Get the White Stripes mug.
A rock band that continues to frustrate pompous critics by actually living up to the hype. The White Stripes have always produced quality records, but in recent years have released three classics in a row ("White Blood Cells", "Elephant", and the newest, "Get Behind Me Satan").
"Red Rain", "My Doorbell", and "Take, Take, Take". Three great tracks off the newest record by The White Stripes. If you think those songs suck, you don't like rock music. Period.

a band too great for most dumbfucks to comprehend. also actually has a blues-based background and is inspired by some of the greatest musicians of all time unlike most bands that are basically just record deals given to random people walking on the street.

Get the the white stripes mug.
A great band with catchy music. People who critisize them, think about this, would you have the balls to go onstage with only a female drummer and 40 year old equipment?
The White Stripes are a great band with catchy music.

Get the The White Stripes mug.
A minimalist blues-rock duo from Detroit, Michigan. The band consists of Jack White (guitar, piano, mandolin, marimba, and vocals) and Meg White (drums, tambourine, bells, and vocals). The band only uses the colors red, white, and black. The band, Jack in particular, has an obsession with, and revolves around the number three. Speculations surround the two's relationship. Ex-husband and wife? Brother and Sister? The two were infact married, but were divorced in 2000 after a 4 year marriage. As of now, the band has released 5 albums which are: The White Stripes; De Stijl; White Blood Cells; Elephant; Get Behind Me Satan.

Get the white stripes mug.
A band composed of two people, Jack and Meg White. Jack White, the bands founder has been influenced heavily by southern blues. Jack also used his wifes very primitive drum playing in his songs, which makes for a very simple, and easy-to-listen to beat(though this can sometimes be repetitive). The use of extremely low quality sound recording, gives a vintage sound to the band(though it does take away from the vocals a bit). The bands name comes from a speech given by Goerge Washington, when he described the nations flag saying

"We take the stars from Heaven, the red from our mother country, separating it by white stripes, thus showing that we have separated from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity representing Liberty"
Lets keep peppermints in a tray on our coffee table...because they have white stripes, like the band
