Thankmas is the transitional celebration between Thanksgiving and Christmas It's that time of year where we celebrate our mutual lack of things by being thankful for the things we don't have. (e.g....large random expensive dinners, embarrassingly large limos)

It is commonly celebrated by the purchasing of "gas station" food that closely resembles the traditional thanksgiving dinner. In place of the traditional turkey, you would have turkey jerky, dried cranberries, potato chips instead of mashed potatoes and danishes instead of pies (unless of course Walmart happens to have a sale on those cheap pies that are oh so very tasty.

There are Thankmas Carols, the gathering of imaginary present underneath the thankmas twig and the sharing of things we are thankful for not having.

The holiday season starts the day after thanksgiving and ends on the 30th of November.

We also have long mythical history associated with this festival going as far back as the first Thankmas with the arrival of Squanto Claus!
"Hey Jim, It's That hoopy time of year to be thankful for things we don't have"
"Oh that's right carl, It's Thankmas time again! Time to pull out the Thankmas Twig!"
"What are you thankful for not having?"
'I'm thankful that I don't have good friends"

Thanksgiving PLUS Christmas. Thanksgiving and Christmas are often so early and so intermixed, it's hard to tell them apart.
The day after Halloween, all the stores were decorated for the season of Thankmas with Turkeys and Christmas trees.
