things yu yurself can do, and most likely do do, that will make yu scene!
here are some things that make up, SCENE KIDS
- saying yu are bi or gay when yu really aren't
- having about a thousand pictures on yur website of boys making out..."emo" boys.
- having more than 50 friend on myspace
- listing everything, with little hearts in front <3
- trying to be random AKA "i like skittles & cows"
- being 15 and acting like yu have gotten over some serious serious issue AKA cutting, depression, etc.
- pictures of yurself wearing excessive eye makeup, having yur horribly over-dyed hair over one of yur eyes, looking at the floor, putting the camera up as high as yu can reach over yur head so yur feet look like ants and yur head looks huge, cleavage shots from above where yu can pretty much only see the top of yur hair and yur tits, making it so it looks like yu just have en eye-hole cut in yur hair, brushing yur hair intentionally over yur face, having yur mouth hanging wide open in a gasp of "suprise", putting yur face to the floor and making a heart with yur fingers, taking pictures of yurself in yur bathroom mirror, prefferably where yu can see yur sink and possibly toilet, wearing the tightest clothes yu could find striaght out of the dryer so they're even tighter, and having every picture yu have of yurself look almost exactly identacle.
- living in Denmark
- pretending yu live in Denmark or some other part of th UK.
- having yur list of favorite music look like yu took a list of bands off of google and pasted it into yur web page. alphebetically.
- having pictures of people with half their face showing and a giant paper sign that says "i<3yulykewoah" or something equally ridiculous.
- using the word rad
- calling anyone, even people yu have never met, love, darling, sweety, doll, hun, babe, etc.
- wearing the merchandise of bands yu have never actually heard, or don't really like but want to, because it would make yu seem interesting.
- hanging out at the local mall with no purpose but to stand around with yur other scene loser friends and look at each other's pants, not even wondering how they have managed to squeeze their penises into them. i know i wonder.
-having anything that says, or writing anywhere, that music is yur significant other or music is yur religion.
-having really tiny backpacks or purses that yu can't fit anything into, and are adorned with pictures of Teen Titans, Dora the Explorer, Spongebob, Care Bears, My Little Pony, The Incredibles, etc. any recent kids show or movie. same goes for t-shirts.
- owning absolutely nothing that is actually VINTAGE, yet they want everyone to think they bought their clothes at value village. when we all know yu just went to hot topic or got yur mommy to buy yu it offline.
- calling yur friends yur mates, yur chavs, yur lovers, yur dino - "insert name here", etc.
- having yur screen name or wesite name "insert yur name here! at the disco" aka shauna! at the disco.
- telling everyone how much yu love to colour, eat candy & drink soda, and other childish pasttimes.
- telling everyone yu are madly in love and then breaking up a week later.
- makeing out with yur friends at parties for attention.
- taking pictures of yurself making a face like yu are about to throw up, have recently thrown up, or are gagging on something.
- making a face like yu just sneezed or have a rather itchy nose.
- talking like yu are english when really yu are just plain.

before i begin...i've noticed alot of mean and sarcastic people writing definitions for what a scene kid is and even tho they have gotten alot of it right(i.e tight pants, hair, obsessions w/myspace and dinosaurs,etc...)they all seem to think that we(yes, i am a scene girl) are a big secret club of assholes.and although we do have a tendancy to be an exculsive bunch i cant help but wonder if all you people who are dissing us have been hurt by the fact that their local group of scenesters has rejected their attempt to be included as part of the group, therefore causing said asshole to type up these kinds of definitions (here and on myspace) in jelous rage.
also i'd think that they are the same types who put up anti-scene groups and probably some anti-emo groups because these individuals usually cant tell the difference.

Scene kids are usually and almost always teenagers who have very specific interests. Scene kids like the latest things in fashion, music, and pop culture. For example, Hello Kitty is a huge favorite for scene girls. scene boys usually like Pokemon, Dinosuars, Gloomy Bear, and other childish things. But all scene kids, no matter what gender, enjoy these things. As for music, scene kids like most Electronic or Techno, Rock, Hardcore Rock, sometimes Indie, and occasionally Hip-Hop. But you won't see scene kids listening to Hip-Hop artists like Eminem or Missy Elliot. Jeffree Star and Scene Kidz are more of their hip-hop. The bands that scene kids listen to are usually underground and not very popular. Some bands they like are::: Dance Gavin Dance, Jeffree Star, Electric Valentine, Glamour For Better, Scene Kidz, Hawthorne Heights.
The scene fashion should NOT be confused with Emo!!!
Girls::: Tight, colorful jeans, neon or brightly colored clothes featuring bands or Hello Kitty, large jewelry, jelly bracelets, funky colored Vans or Converse, high heels are sometimes okay, headbands, Terry Cloth wristbands, leggings, and large earings. Everything should be big and bright! As for make-up, use lots of color. Eyeliner is a must, sometimes girls like to form "cat eyes" with the eyeliner. Eye shadow is also helpful. Lip gloss is exceptional.
Boys::: Skinny/slim fit jeans are a must, neon colored shirts are perfect, shirts with Dinosaurs and Pokemon are good, band tees, belts should be bright too, Terry Cloth Wristbands, jelly bracelets, Vans are popular amongst the guys, LARGE SUNGLASSES!!!
You can find these items at Hot Topic, Urban Outfitters, and Journeys.

Hair can vary. A popular style for girls is long hair on the side, short in the back, and puffy on top. Color is almost a necesity. Pink, blue, yellow, purple, or multi-colored are good colors for streaks.
Boys haircuts tend to clone that of Emo. But not always! Fo-hawks have become popular as well. A Fo-hawk is a haircut featuring short in the back and front, and the top is mooshed together like a mohawk but shorter. Boys hair can also be colored or bleached blonde or jet black. It doesn't always have to be in your face.

Scene kids tend to be more positively oriented than Emo kids who are more emotional. Scene kids are usually obnoxious, hyper, sarcastic, but friendly. However, scene girls tend to be sorta bitchy towards other scene girls. :D
Scene kids actually have goals in life. Many scene kids want to persue in careers such as Hair Dresser, Fashion Designer, Graphic Designer, Magazine Writer, Model, Photographer, or anything creative.

Scene kids love the internet, like Myspace and Facebook. They also enjoy taking pictures of themselves. Pictures are usually taken from greater heights or at abstract angles to give strong effects.

Overall, Scene kids should not be mixed with Emo kids since they are very different.
YAY SCENE KIDSSS!!!!
"Scene" is a word used today to describe a sub-culture in society including people known as Scene Kids.

-Emo styled hair/ Fauxhawk
-Bandana around head/Flat-rim hat
-Shutter shades/Big sunglasses/Colourful shades.
-Bandana around neck/big jewerly around neck.
-Lip piercings
-Band shirts/Layered tank tops/girl shirts
-Skinny jeans of any colour.
-Multiple belts, at once.
-Converse/Vans/flats

They're a clever mix of emo and prep.
Scene kids are fun!

These days, anything can be classified as "scene". Scene kids often get called emo or posers. Most scene kids tend to hang out in the city with their other scene friends. Most scene kids have myspace, and have myspace fame from it. A lot of them get noticed by others from myspace. Scene kids with a lot of friends tend to be better looking and can get away with wearing anything. Most scene boys wear tight skinny jeans, of any colour with t shirts, usually of local screamo bands. Scene girls wear clothes that don't match, but they still look good. They like to wear a log of leggings and bows in their hair. They like to have cute little childish t shirts as well. Scene kids hair is usually cut by themselves, or a very expensive hair dresser. Most of the time, their hair will be black with sometimes patches of neon colours. Usually, if their hair is not black, it's bleached to the palest colour you could possibly get.

Scene girls never leave the house without make up and wear a lot of eye makeup. Piercings are another big thing with scene kids. A lot of them have their septums and snakebites done. Scene boys sometimes have very small stretchers in their ears. Scene kids like to hang out at the shops and at gigs and concerts. They hang out in large groups of at least 7 or something. A lot of scene kids have Jeffree Star, Hello Kitty and Oliver Sykes on their profiles.

In conclusion, anyone that doesn't fit the criteria of "normal" is scene, emo, gothic or whatever.
conversation of some scene kids:

"omg are you AnnaATROCITY from myspace?"
"yehhh I am."
"well I'm JosieJURASSIC from myspace!"
"oh my god. *hugs*"

A true scene kid is a boy or girl who wears whatever they want without caring.

A typical scene kid is a boy or girl who finds a style on the internet of a popular bebo, myspace, or facebook, and occasionally Vampire Freaks, that they like, and copies that style either completely or in parts.

A true scene kid has a hairstyle that is pretty crazy, and is like this so they can express themselves. True scene kids usually cut their own hair, because it's no fun expressing yourself when someone else cuts your hair.

A typical scene kid (girl) hair long hair with short layers at the top, and no layers underneath the top half. These layers are usually backcombed until they stand out from the head. This is usually to attract attention.

True scene kids don't set out to be hated, they go about their lives, and pick up a few haters along the way who dislike them because of their appearence and views on things.

Typical scene kids are deliberately controversial to get 'famous' on the internet.

This is a generalisation. Do not take all of this too seriously.

Most scene kids are called emo by chavs who do not understand that most emos are said to not wear much colour, whereas scene kids supposedly wear obscene amounts of neon coloured clothing.

True scene kids will never say they are scene.

Dont knock true scene kids. They won't do you any harm unless you start something.

A male or female who dresses in the scene fashion.
They look like noone in any picture that has been posted, mostly it seems that the photo feature has been used to help poser kids feel better about themselves.
In actuality, scene has developed to encompass many different styles and denominations. There's the scene queens, who wear nearly anything to make themselves look original, from tutus and metal-band shirts to ripped fishnets and tiny shorts, often boots and oversized shirts as dresses. There's also what I call the street version scene girls, who lean toward tight jeans and Funsteps. However, hair and makeup is alike across the board. It's nearly always straightened, very teased in the back, choppy, and often multicolored. The basic color is normally black or peroxide blond, but streaks are promoted, and a select few do manage to pull off the natural browns- but for the most part it doesn't happen. Piercings are also promoted within the scene community, normally facial. Makeup is either incredibly well-done neons or dark blacks. The real scene girls are nearly always gorgeous, with large eyes accentuated by the intense makeup. For the males, the scene kings usually wear tall spikes that stick straight up in the back, with bangs and makeup. They will be wearing tight jeans, occasionally cowboy boots or something similarly ironic. The street version of the scene male is tight jeans, straightened black hair, occasionally with blond streaks, and sometimes also wearing the spikes. Makeup is unlikely but possible. Despite popular belief, not every scene kid is gay or bi. Many girls are known for being particularly bitchy and self-obsessed, the boys for being arrogant and vain, none of which seems to be able to subtract from the obsession that teens are growing with this new fad. Eventually, the scene will fade out of the popular eye, and the new jacks will pass to the next trend, making scene truly alternative again.
I saw this scene kid walking down the street the other day, I swear his hair was taller than he was.
