when you stray from a web page you were doing research on by clicking an online ad, or other hyperlinked word until you are totally off topic, and wasting time.

Joe: I was researching Canada and then I clicked on beaver and then before you know it I wasted so much time looking at other stuff besides Canada!

The act of putting off work or other duties by engaging in the consumption of alcohol.
