Patholysis 

From the Greek roots path- (feeling, suffering) & -lysis (destruction, dissolving), a term meaning "the destruction of suffering," used in reference to a medical procedure by which a life is intentionally ended.

It was coined by Dr. Jack Kevorkian, a physician who performed (by his count) around 130 physician-assisted suicides.

Did you hear about that CEO whose company went bankrupt? He called Dr. Kevorkian and asked him to do a patholysis procedure because he was too afraid to off himself!

Patholysis 

"Patholysis" has been in use for at least a century. I first encountered it in an untitled article in the July 18, 1914 edition of The Christian Science Sentinel, p. 907. The article begins "According to a report" and ends with the phrase "resulting from patholysis."

"It is but just and fitting, moreover, to cite in conclusion the broad and significant fact, supplementing cases of definite antidoting of poison in Christian Science, that in the healing of almost any so-called bodily derangements, Christian Science effectually antidotes poison more or less deadly, resulting from patholysis." Plant pathologist 

A plant pathologist is someone who hates plants. They may be seen as plant-lovers and advertise themselves by motivating that they want to save the planet by curing all plant diseases, but secretly they love looking at dead plants. During their studies they get the opportunity to inoculate plants with pathogens and watch them die. They argue that this cruel act is necessary to save the rest, however, they enjoy the moment.

John loved biology in school. His biology teacher knew it and recommended he become a plant pathologist. But he hated plants. He rejected her advice. Years later, he found out what plant pathologists actually do - they kill plants. He now lives a happy life, killing plants and looking at dead ones. His biology teacher was right.

Made-up Pathologism 

Made-up Pathologism is the idea about make mental illnesses only with political, social and / or scientific interests and goals, mainly focused on criminalize certain social or political group, mainly related to minorities and religious-spiritual ones.

Made-up Pathologism is advocated by so many psychologists and psychiatrists even nowadays, things such as homosexualism, transexualism, LGBT as mental illness and majority of the things considered as delusions are examples of made-up pathologies

Noun. Refers to a pathological condition where one sits all day at the computer coining new terms for Urban Dictionary.

Formed from the words pathological and neologism.

James doesn't get out much any more and just spends all his time making up silly words. I think he is suffering from pathologism.

Speech Language Pathologist 

An occupation that requires too much schooling so you can “make people talk”. Also, helps neurologically impaired people swallow their food. Can play cards with dementia patients and push buttons of pictures on computers too.

Nurse: “Watch out if you don’t swallow that pill, I’m going to tell the Speech Language Pathologist.”

SLP: (Holding up a pen). What is this?

Patient: (pushes button with picture of a pen)

Computer : Says “Pen”

Patients Spouse: “You are the best Speech Language Pathologist.”
