Well known for his first LP, Ready To Die, and for his second and final 2 disc set, Life After Death, which sold over 11 million copies worldwide and was released after his death which occured in California on March 9th, 1997. His death was mourned by a massive turnout of people in his hometown located in the Bedford Stuvesant area of Brooklyn, a borough of New York City. Notorious BIG recently resurfaced in the news when a court in Los Angeles California deemed that the unsolved case in regard to his murder was called as a mistrial. The court later deemed that because it was clear the LAPD withheld evidence during the long and tedious trial, Ms. Valetta Wallace, Christopher Wallace's mother, should accept payment of One Million Dollars in behalf of the city of Los Angeles in 2005.
