Morbose

A combination of the definitions of morbid and verbose. Describes a person (or speech) who while decidedly morose, loquaciously talks on and on an earful to the point of ennui in the listener, who should still feel somewhat empathetic.

The elegy of my grandfather given by my crazy uncle was incredibly morbose.

Talking a great deal about how very sad one is; a contraction of the words verbose and morbid.

Talking incessantly about how deeply saddened he had become, I could hear he was morbose.
