The authoritative assumption of state-brains even when they are nonsensical, look stupid, and are making a public mockery of themselves. These usually start with statements affirming their own moral virtues on issues like racism, sexism etc. Values that when so forefront in your mind that they are brought up without being asked during substantive policy debate, imply that you actually struggle with these issues yourself. They will mistake those who try to inform them of how it's coming across (for their own good) to stop the public embarrassment as attacks from political opposition inherently political in nature. This allows the display to go on for large amounts of time unchecked and further display of their own ignorance through blatant assumptions and dismissals of criticism. These events are a phenomena in western societies recently as policies in academia have drifted from merit based to identity based thinking. In scenarios where a Leader-of-State is the victim, there is virtually no telling how long it will go on and often is never explained or discussed once it is found out.
Once Justin Trudeau (Canadas Prime Minister) defended a state-backed media organizations claim that it wasn't state funded after Twitter placed a new badge on their profile. Completely lacking the self awareness of what giving a publicized statement in response would obviously look like. His Morally-Superior High Ground Syndrome allowed this and the enshrined culture allowed it past everyone. Not just him.

Another ex: Younger women will often make it a point to their possible spouses that they are independent and dont need help. This is done based on a prejudice against men and being so confident in the assumption that they want to control you, think it is a reasonable thing to blurt out when two adults are on a date for the first time. Men have noted this and have also explained the oddness found in someone assuming anything else. This is an expectation of every adult human being, we didn't get the memo that this had to be stated on first dates.
