In 1996, hundreds of Usenet messages were posted containing seemingly nonsensical text. This series of spam messages is named Markovian Parallax Denigrate. Some allegations were made concerning some of the emails and antiwar activist Susan Lindauer, but it has been proven that they are spoofed emails. The messages were posted mostly along Christian Usenet boards, hinting that it could have been a big troll by someone back then, as this behavior was common among trollers. This is one of the first ever internet mysteries.
