A preteen/teenager who has an indie (independant)/rocker style.
Apperance:
Boys would usually have quite messy hair, which even though would probably be in some sort of side-fringe, would be nothing like scene/emo hair. Boys would also probably wear rocker jeans, converse and rocker t-shirts.
Girls would have wavy, rocker hair, also maybe in a side-fringe, but not like scene hair, which is usually high-lighted. They would wear denim skirts/jeans, rocker t-shirts and converse.
Personality:
Indie rock kids are usually happy people, that don't care what others think. However, some indie rock kids could be depressed, but they would still have the I-don't-care attitude.

a person who loves rock from the 60's and 70's. this person strongly believes that modern music is talentless compared to classic rock.(which is very true).
Prefers rock with deep,diverse guitar driven sound that makes use of scales and many chords rather than than just E string on distortion...or 3 note breakdowns, or repetitive power chords. Classic Rock has proven to be the most talented type of rock and has the musicians to prove it(jimmy page, eric clapton, hendrix,...).
This person will often reject or will have no opinion of any other music that lacks the distinct,aweosme sound that is classic rock.

A new wave of stuck up suburban kids between the ages of 13 and 17 who just recently started listening to bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, and who think they are better than everyone because of it. They must wear that one Led Zeppelin shirt that all of their other classic rock friends own, or a Dark Side of the Moon shirt, that again, every classic rock kid must own. Discussions usually consist of talking about how people just dont get how awesome classic rock is, and how The Beatles, "Floyd" ,"Hendrix", "Zeppelin" (a true classic rock kid is on a last name basis with all classic rock bands) changed their life, even though they said the same thing about Linkin Park a year earlier. Sometimes they get so caught up in talking about how awesome Deep Purple and Queen are, that they begin to say how much "better things were back then", even though they just began high school. In this case, they must be smacked in the face immediately. Records on vinyl are a must too, because CDs dont "sound as good".
Classic rock kid 1 (wearing a "Zeppelin" shirt): Yeah, I know, new music is just horrible compaired to the classics.

Eclectic people who incorporate both elements of rock and "thug" culture. In my case, it would be listening to both rock/metal/industrial and hip-hop that's not liked by most mainstream people (i.e. Nas, Mobb Deep, Foxy Brown, instead of crap like nelly, 50 cent, and eminem). Term coined by Marilyn Manson in his song Doll Dagga Buzz Buzz Ziggety Zag off 12003's The Golden Age of Grotesque.
