honkeymoon

milar to that of a honeymoon for a normal human being but for a full-blown Honkey instead. A Honkeymoon consists of drinking cheap beer, and staying somewhere on the countryside with transportation provided by a big truck for muddin'. Dinner consists of anything you caught that day, with a fat chaw in almost the entire time. Honkeymoons are almost always paid for by money you earned dishonestly, ie scams related to insurance fraud, taking the cans back, or rummaging through ones belongings for a few bucks.
Billy Bob, how was the shotgun wedding?
I reckon it was outrageous, now I go on my honkeymoon.

A town or area populated noticeably and overwhelmingly by whites, or honkys.
A friend told me after visiting a college in Maine that everywhere you go it's Honkytown. He said -and this is coming from a white guy- that it freaked him out and was a factor in his descision not to attend that school. I'm white too and that sounds like Twilight Zone scary to me. Like, what, did they eat all the blacks/asians/latinos?

Monkeytown

CB Radio Call for Montgomery, AL. This comes from the monkeys on the island at Oak Park in Midtown. Once they had an escape. After the escape, the city was hailed as Monkeytown by all the truckers. This is around the same time that Birmingham was Smoke City before Iron City.
I'm going to breeze on through Monkeytown headed north towards Smoke City.

Hockeytown

Nickname for Detroit, whose team the Detroit Red Wings are currently the defending Stanley Cup champions. Their previous coach, Scotty Bowman, who retired at the end of last year's season, has the most records held by any NHL coach - including most Stanley Cup victories. Current players on Detroit's team are some of the best in the entire NHL, including Steve Yzerman, Sergei Fedorov, Brendan Shanahan, Igor Larionov, Kris Draper, Luc Robataille, Brett Hull, and Nicklas Lidstrom.

Therefore, unknown poster, if you wish to call Hockeytown an unfitting nickname for Detroit, I suggest you name a town better suited for it.
The Wings play especially well in Hockeytown because of their devoted fans.
