An amazing band from Chicago that used to be on Fueled By Ramen, an awesome record label from Tampa. Now they're on Island, but that's okay, we're still in love. Fall Out Boy has already released Evening Out With Your Girlfriend and Take This To Your Grave, and on May 3rd, 2005, From Under The Cork Tree will come out. Fall Out Boy is made up of Pete Wentz, who plays bass, writes lyrics, and screams, Patrick Stump, who sings, plays guitar, and writes music, Joe Trohman, who plays guitar, and Andy Hurley, who plays drums, and is extra-special because he's a vegan.

A new age band that has attracted it's main audience of the ages 13-20. The band originated in Chicago, and consists of their lead singer/ guitarist, Patrick Stumph ( who has dropped the "h" in his last name due to pronunciation), their bassist, Pete(peter) Wentz, drummer, Andy Hurley, and lead guitarist, Joe(joseph) Trohman. Many teenagers idolize and respect them and their lyrics. Fall Out Boy is in the rock, pop crowd. They play many secret shows in Chicago. Fall Out Boy has also been recognized as the best musical group for many awards. They weren't exactly good at finding names for their band, so at one show they played when they were up and rising, they asked their audience for suggestions, and a fan yelled out Fall Out Boy, and the name stuck. Fall Out Boy's bassist, Peter Wentz has also founded the new band, Panic! At The Disco. Fall Out Boy has been recognized as the hardcore, partying group that will be remembered after they have been long gone, and even when they pass, they will rock the heavens!
Fall Out Boy has been known for it's most popular songs such as, Sugar we're going down, Thanks for the memories, and Dance dance!

A (now) mainstream four-piece band categorized as pop punk, pop rock, emo, or combinations of the three. Known for their nasal vocalist, simplistic guitar riffs, basslines consisting of no more than four notes which cannot even be successfully played at a live show, and "poetic" lyrics such as "WE'RE GOIN" DOWN, DOWN, ENALURBLYURAAHLL...", it's no surprise that Fall Out Boy is one of the most popular rock acts today, particularly among 14-21 year old females and males confused about their orientation.
Fall Out Boy differs from similar bands in that their bassist acts as (or tries to act as) the frontman of the group, without singing or adequately playing his instrument. Though he ranks as the least talented member of the band, Pete Wentz garners most of the group's media attention, being the only 6 while surrounded by 3's and 4's. Pete also writes the "brilliant lyrics" indecipherably crooned by singer Patrick Stump. In an attempt to appear quirky and clever, titles of Fall Out Boy songs are usually a sentence long. The exposure of Wentz' genitalia is irrelevent and was likely brought to the media forefront by the band itself as a failed publicity stunt.
Taking note of the band's lack of... everything, it is a mystery how Fall Out Boy is successfully marketed. There are no timeless hooks, no particularly attractive band members to get the teenyboppers riled up, nothing instrumentally impressive or innovative, and nothing that hasn't been done before several times (and with less ego) by Blink 182 or even Simple Plan. The success of Fall Out Boy remains an enigma, as well as a trademark of the tastelessness of teenage youth and anyone who refers to themself as emo.

Fall Out Boy is a band with amazing lyrics and songs that's not particularly famous (I can't figure out why). I recommend "Tell that mick he just made my list of things ot do today", "grand theft autumn", and "nobody puts baby in the corner". Along with their entire new album, "Take This To Your Grave".

a very good band, formed in 2001 when pete wentz (bass player) got sick of the hardcore scene in chicago. not an emo band...pop-punkish. members: andrew john hurley-drummer, joseph trohman-guitar, peter lewis kingston wentz III-bass and backup vocals, partick martin stump(h)-guitar and vocals. albums: evening out with your girlfriend, take this to your grave, from under the cork tree

1. noun: band of tossers; horrible vocals to horrible 'music' provided by lead singer who constantly sounds like he is nursing a very bad cold and thus cannot be understood by many (except perhaps those in the masses who don't care because OMG LYK FALL OUT BOY TOTALLY ROCKZZZZ!!!11111ONEONE)
