Eastsourcing is a combination of 2 words: Eastern Europe and Outsourcing. Usually, companies from the west outsource software development projects to an Eastern European company to get access to talent, be more flexible and to save up on time and money.

Eastsource is commonly used when a company from a country in Western Europe, such as the Netherlands, Belgium, UK or Germany, obtains software development services by contract from a supplier in Eastern Europe. They normally do that to save time on recruiting and forming teams, have increased flexibility, access to a larger talent pool, and to cut on budget.
Hans: “Guten tag! We can’t find a good local team for this software project and our budget is unfortunately tight.”
Sofia: “Eastsource, mein Freund...Eastsource is the answer!”
