A person and/or entity that deceives people because it is in their nature. As it is used in the Bible the devil cast Israel into jail because of the sins they commit. We see this in modern time with black men & women being killed and put in jail unjustified, the white man is the devil.
Revelation 2:10 - Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the DEVIL shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
