Darien is a small town in southern connecticut. It is home to probably the richest people in the state of Connecticut, and maybe even new England. The parents usually work as the heads of massive corporations, and are envied by many other towns, such as new Canaan and Greenwich. The teenagers in Darien always excel in various sports, such as lacrosse, basketball, softball/baseball, swimming, and soccer. There are zero homes in Darien worth less than 600,000$, and most of them are waterfront. It is basically the life every single person has dreamed of, with the best public and private school system in the country, and with all the high school student graduates getting accepted into top ivy league colleges, despite the drinking house parties that are probably the best house parties anyone could ever dream of having. In conclusion, Darien is one of the top towns in the country, and probably everyone who knows about it has once dreamed of living there.

One of the wealthiest towns in the country full of rich kids and their rich families. And not to mention all the kids are preppy, rich, fashionable, rich, rich, oh and rich! Stars such as Kate Bosworth and Topher Grace have lived in Darien. Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston bought a house in Darien. One store in Darien, the Darien Sport Shop, was mentioned in one of the books from the "Gossip Girl" series. RICH PERSON TOWN, I TELL YOU!

darien is a small town in connecticut, in fairfield county with an overwhelming population of the preppiest teenagers you can find, the most beautiful housewives and the richest men. country clubs, yacht clubs and beach clubs are abundant, and you are considered poor if you are not a member of one of these organizations where you often are not allowed without a collared shirt. darien is next to new canaan and near greenwich, westport and fairfield where the same kinds of people can be found at their waterfront mansions showing obscene wealth.
home to some of the most ridiculous house parties that would make college students jealous, darien also has some of the most worthless policemen alive, who do nothing but drive around and bust up a house party if they are in such a mood. polo, lacoste, burberry, louis vuitton, vineyard vines, gucci, and prada are some of the favorite brands of the teenagers there, many of whom must have been born with a lacrosse stick in their hands.
despite nonstop drinking and partying, darien high school students are often accepted at top ivy league and other colleges, or at least the ones who haven't already been shipped off to a boarding prep school such as Andover, Deerfield, Choate or Taft. the population of darien is arrogant as a whole, looking down on anyone with less money or intelligence or ability than they have. darieners spend their summers in nantucket, martha's vineyard, cape cod or block island at their second homes and their winters at their ski houses.

driving through darien on my way to the real world, i noticed teenagers driving BMWs, Jeeps, Audis, Mercedes Benzes and Lexuses, moms so hot that they could be in their 20s, and a ridiculous array of preppy teenagers and rich, conservative adults on their way to the golf course or the yacht.

A small town in between Norwalk and Stamford (the ghettos of fairfiled county) consisting of rich family's that own a boat, belong to a summer club and have homes in Vermont and a summer getaway such as Block Island, Nantucket, Cape Cod, the Hamptons and Maine. All the teenagers wear Juicy Couture, Polo, Lacoste, and many different brands of jeans that cost about 200$ each. The moms all have blonde or dirty brown hair and have gorgous bodies. The husbands all work in NYC as CEO's or major corporate owners. All of the toddlers wear designer clothes like polo, mini ribbon belts and little Lilly Pulitzer sun dresses. On the weekends the teens have nothing to do so they spend there nights out late on the post road at restaurants like COSI or Post corner Pizza. And after dinner witht he girls and boyfriends you would catch a movie at the Darien Playhouse where there is only 2 screening rooms. The moms are always waiting by the phone for their children to call for them to pick them up. The mothers live to serve their children and teens. Darien is 99% white and 1% black. In every grade there is only about 3 black children that have moved from either stamford, norwalk or greenwich. In the spare time of most high schoolers they will design there own jewelry and spend long hours at chikaboom, wishlist and the darien sport shop buying all designer clothes and searching through the many designs of Vineyard Vines bags. Lacrosse is a major sport in darien, you will get started playing at around the age of 6 or 7 and will go all the way to the high school team and then go to an IVEY league college to play. Other sports consist of swimming, water polo, gymnastics, feild hockey, skiing and sailing. Darien is a world of its own in the middle of the world. A bubble in the universe.

As in, Darien is wealthier than both Greenwhich and NC, so claiming its some "lesser" version is absurd and done by only those who are jealous of the lavish lifestyle of its residents.
