Champagne party 

A pre prom party thrown by the prom go’ers parents where family and friends come together to take pictures and see the prom go’er off. Before the prom go’er goes off, the parent makes a toast with everyone and the toast is usually champagne.

Champagne party 

A classy term for a pregame get together before a ball, dance, or banquet. Most commonly before highschool proms, teens will get together at ones house to partake in getting intoxicated off of alcohol (champagne ussually for the special event) and/or marijuana.

Hey stacey, if you're trying to have a lit time at prom come to my champagne party at my house. The dance starts at seven so be at my place at 5 ;)
