Cease to deal

To die. Based loosely on the biblical passage Isaiah 33:1

"As soon as you cease to deal treacherously, others will deal treacherously with you."
That runaway truck ramp is made to protect the load not the driver. After that instant deceleration, the driver would surely cease to deal.
