Also known as a "big, freaking brick wall of steel", Bachelorism refers to the state of being single and desperately needing to get married. The word originated from the YouTube documentary titled "Muslim Bachelorism" in which a Muslim-American youth struggles for companionship.

Bachelorism is an a relationship status for single men who are bachelors. Bachelorism is somewhat of an epidemic that effects men who are single. The term was coined by Match.com in 2006 when they embarked on a quest to try to get single women to "cure men of bachelorism".
