Get the <3 mug.
This mark is obviously an ice-cream cone and nothing more. In fact when seen it should create slight hunger or even irritation of the stomach.
AOL Instant Message example:
KID: I <3 you.
Me: your making me hungry bitch.

It's not a heart. Any moron could see it's a butt in a dunce cap!
"ur such a <3" really means "you're such a stupid ass."

1. Usually used to express "love", or just "luv". It's usually less important than an actual "I love you", more like something you say at the end of an IM conversation to someone you don't necessarily "love". PS: the more 3's you add, the more you "love" the person.

2. I find that it also looks like a mouth to the side, like a kiss, the "3" being the lips. PS: the more 3's you add, the more kisses you're giving.

3. In other uses, one can also say that it means "less than three" or "smaller than three" but that is more mathematical.
1. I <3 you
2. Byee! <33
3. 2<3 (2 is smaller than three)

<3 has been so overused it doesn't even mean what it looks like anymore. People use it when they want to show someone they are happy with them. When you do something for someone and they just give you a <3 it doesn't mean much.
SkAtErChIkC: OMG I <3 YOU THANKIEEEEEES

Get the <3 mug.
A symbol used in place of the word "heart". Mostly used by pathetic scenesters. Only use this if you're willing to be laughed at and made fun of.

The symbol has inspired other equally pathetic phrases such as "less than three" and "<three", which have been invented by lame emo/indie/pop punk fans and scenesters. In the end, "<3", "less than three", and "<three" all mean the same thing.
