When you can't find the porn that you jacked off to a couple of days ago. Did that video ever exist or did you just cum so hard you nutted into another dimension?
"Bro, I can't find that video of Riley Reid anywhere on the internet. What happened?"
"Who's Riley Reid?"
"Oh no...did I just Mandela Nut?"
"I don't know. Let's blow each other to see if we're in the right dimension."

An ironic or sarcastic nickname for people who bear no resemblance in any shape or form to one of the most inspirational people of the 21st Cenutry.
It is most often used by History students who take their work home with them too often and are confused by the past and the present, as well as attending politcally aware music festivals.

Due to the Mandela Effect which was popularized in 2010 people discovered Nelson Mandela was actually alive and did not die in prison in the 1980s. He later did die in 2013. Because the Mandela Effect is more commonly known than the effect's namesake, many people believe he is still alive.

All round slogan. Use it to show that you disagree with a cause and have a hard time taking it seriously. Originally used by Ali G (Sascha Baron Cohen) at an anti-abortion rally.
Crusading speaker: We will not stand and watch while God's laws are being violated! Homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to marry!
*loud cheer*
Random guy: Yeah, and free Nelson Mandela!

The one quote where everyone thinks that Mandela said "our deepest fears" except that it was some random bitch from Texas
Person 1: Dude remember that quote Thomas Jefferson said? Like our deepest fears something something...
Person 2: No dude it was Mandela. I saw it on Akeelah and the Bee. Remember Keke Palmer. Dude she's so hot.
Random Nerd: ACTUALLY, it was Marianne Williamson who said that. This is called the second mandela effect.
Person 1 &2: Shut up nerd.
