Ovsiankina effect

In psychology, the Ovsiankina effect describes the innate human urge to finish tasks previously initiated. This tendency to resume an interrupted action is especially prevalent when the action hasn't yet been achieved. The effect is named after Maria Ovsiankina, who conducted research on this behavior.

I couldn't focus on my new project because every time I got interrupted, I felt this strong Ovsiankina effect pulling me back to finish what I had started yesterday.

The Carpenter Effect

When a person or persons find themselves inexplicably drawn either a trilby, glasses a scarf or all of the above. This person will then want to molest everything that moves. A known symptom of the Carpenter effect also includes blaring classical music from hidden speakers around your body, some may also find themselves compelled to provide a 'tuneful' accompaniment. They will look a bit silly.

"Did you see Taylor Momsen the other day?"
"Yeah she was suffering from 'The Carpenter Effect'!"

The Ocean’s 8 Effect

Used in modern media, the concept where someone puts together a group of people who are individually, incredibly attractive on their own, however once put in said group with other attractive people become 100x sexier.

Penny Effect

The Penny Effect is where girls take pictures of themselves looking down and spot a penny on the ground. The luck from said penny gives their pictures whatever they need to be posted.

Girl 1- I saw where Jenny went to the wishing well in her last selfie.

Girl 2- Yeah, so no matter where she looked down, the pic was gonna be perf.

Girl 1- Abusing the Penny Effect.

Girl 2- Bitch.

The effect is when a daniel is near you and you are overcome with stupidity. Lingers for up to 5 minutes after removed from the site or premises.

Daniel walked close to me and I had the irresistible urge to do something stupid because of the Daniel Effect.
