(verb) To explain a simple fact, in even simpler terms, to a really thick person. This is often to degrade a person and to boost your social status by making you seem more clever than the idiot you just humbled.
A posh way of "telling someone" i.e. "he got humbled" posh version of "he got told."

I just humbled you in this definition. But since you are thick, I am going to humble you again and give you a simpler definition.
Guy 1: What's this random paper we got ages ago?
Guy 2: Let me humble you. That paper is our task for the exam that we will be sitting later today. The fact that you don't even know what the paper is about, proves you are going to inevitably fail this test.

1. An admirable quality that not many people possess. It means that a person may have accomplished alot, or be alot but doesn't feel it is necessary to advertise or brag about it.
2. To degrade, to cut one's ego down to size. It is not necessarily done in a rude fashion but it SHOULD BE.

1. I envy humble people. If I told a humble person what I thought about people with humility, they'd probably not even recognize themselves as humble and ask why I'm calling them that. Too bad I don't know any humble people.
2. "DAMMIT, her bragging is getting on my NERVES! Someone REALLY needs to humble that asshat!!"

- You've just won the Nobel Peace Prize for basically not being George Bush. How do you feel?
- Humbled. I feel humbled.
- Oh, OK. You seem like a good guy.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful behound measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves "Who am i to be, brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?". Actually, who are you not to be?. You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. there's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. (This is being humble... my words, not Mandela's)
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us, it's in everyone, and, as we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people premission to do the same: as we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
Nelson Mandela.
