So basically they are shudras farmers and once the british came they came land ownership to the farmers working on the fields and their status rose slightly and so now they go around telling everyone we are jatts we are so special theres no one like us we are the most goodlooking, we only marry jatts.. Even Brahmins dont brag about being brahmin as much as jatts. The british ruled on these jatts for so long and you dont see them bragging.
