awkward turtle 

The "Awkward Turtle" is used during the present moment of a situation at hand. You may use it under the table at a diner outing to relieve some of the awkward tension, or on your way to the restroom as you excuse yourself from the awkward moment. The Awkward Turtle is also used in conjunction with the Awkward Antlers when re-telling the aforementioned events.

In the Situation: As you hug your Ex, you do the awkward turtle behind his back.

Awkward turtle dive 

Like the awkward turtle , but used when the situation is made even more awkward by further input either by yourself or someone else in the conversaton.

You make the same turtle hand formation as before, but make your hand turtle take a dive.

Bill: (jokingly says) Hey, don't give me herpes!
Jill: I can't give you herpes unless they flare up
Bill: ....*Awkward turtle*
Jack: (truthfully says) I have herpes too, and no it can't be spread unless you have visible sores
Bill: .....*Awkward turtle dive*

Awkward Turtle 

A hand gesture created and used to shed light on the fact a certain situation has become "awkward". It doesn't look like a turtle, or an awkward turtle, it's just dumb.

Johnny: So, when she said that I was all like *awkward turtle*
Dave: Dude, that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen, plus, it just makes you look like an ass for making the awkward situation more awkward. It doesn't even look like a turtle.
Johnny: Oh, uh *awkward turtle*
Dave: You're a dumbass.

Awkward Turtle Equals Awkward Babies! 

When you get a bit sick of the boring old 'Awkward Turtle'

Used by putting one hand on top of each other and gesturing the thumbs forward (signifying the awkward turtle.) Then take your two hands into fists and bang them together (the erm, baby making) and finally keep your hands in fists but take your thumb and pinky out and move forward (signifying the babies.)

Put it together fast and you get it! :D

Boy: Hey, erm I like you.
Girl: I er, like you too.
*Laughs awkwardly*
Boy: Awkward turtle...!
Girl: Awkward turtle equals awkward babies!
