A college dropout without a degree, yet is typically more intelligent, wise and wealthier than their college graduated peers. The term became popular after millionaire dropout JetSetFly launched The Dropout Degree Show and it became a top 10 podcast on iTunes.

Dean's List Dropout 

- An indie band from the same state-loins that gave birth to Superdrag and 10 Years. Their style of rock is broad and varied, but remains coherent and intelligent.

- An individual who is incredibly smart but has no desire or need to graduate college, partly due to roots of an anti-establishment ethos.

I'll admit the guy is ridiculously good at what he does despit having never gone to college... he's a total Dean's List Dropout.

High School Dropout 

Someone who quits the notorious High School in order to find better path that doesn't involve you wasting your time with stupid people and worthless projects. Not always a burger flipper, but it is possible.

Sometimes it is assumed that these people will get nowhere in life, but that is not always true.

Look at that high school dropout, flipping those burgers!

I became a high school dropout today, and haven't ever felt better.

Unofficial Dropout 

1. Someone who has dropped out of school but still plans on returning in the fairly distant future.

2. Someone who is unable to attend school due to certain reasons over a long period of time and still considers him/herself in school while other's consider him/her a dropout.
3. Someone who has been absent from school for a while but is still registered and is being counted as a student of that school however, he/she tells everyone that he/she has dropped out.
4. Someone who has been treated unfairly by school staff and decides to take a leave from school for a while.

Person 1: "Yo, where have you been? We haven't seen you in school for a while."
Person 2: "I'm an unofficial dropout. I might come back someday though."
