classic rock is a genera of music from 1950's to 1970's. it is NOT gay 80's hair bands with stupid followers who dont even know a single alblum by their band of choice. my favorite band is Pink Flyod for their trulely revolutionary sounds. im 13 and like clasic rock cus every song is diferent & not about sex,drugs(rapers just sing about drtgs, & dont do them), and cutting in every song. also their is enough good clasic rock 2 have 1500+ songs on my iPod (not obsessed w/ vinyl).

An amazing but horribly overrated and generic type of Rock that started it all. It's often a choice for teens that are attempting to be "unique" yet have no actual taste for the music other then the fact that it's not plastered on MTV.

I love Classic Rock but I hate all those pricks who think it's the only great genre left.

Perhaps the greatest and most inspirational genre of music, classic rock is also known as "Hair Metal". The name "Hair Metal" originated because of bands like Mötley Crüe, Van Halen and others. The enormous hair and skin tight leather pants, lyrics about girls and booze, and "fuck you" attitude is what sums up a classic rock band. Such bands were mostly popular in the 80's, but continue to live on in the hearts of many metalheads today.

Bands like Guns N' Roses, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Twisted Sister, and Def Leppard are all classic rock bands. Classic rock will forever live on.
