Survivalism: American (in general, Caucasian) fascination with basic life skills that the average person of every other country in the world is taught as children.

You: Hey, dude, want to go up in the woods and practice some survivalism? I want to try some primitive fire making.

Me: Oh, sure. That sounds like fun. My grandma taught me a few tricks when I was 10 years old.

SUVivalist 

Someone who buys an Sport Utility Vehicle as protection from other drivers, which endangers everyone else on the road. Other drivers react by also becoming SUVivalists. Every car is now an SUV. Nobody is any safer, some pedestrians are dead, and the highway needs repairing. Next level SUVivalists realize that what they need is a truck.

"Some get an SUV because they think sport is something you do in a car, but I need this SUV to protect my family from the crazy drivers out there. That's what makes me a SUVivalist. Other people's families... are not my problem."

A skilled homeless person, who specializes in the art of living out of dumpsters, no shelter, and earns money for his/her alcohol problem by collecting cans.

God, we miss Larry, he was the ultimate urban survivalist. Too bad he froze to death under an overpass.
